Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta and RMIT University held the International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC) 2025 at RMIT AsiaHub, Melbourne, on 10–11 November 2025. The event brought together more than 200 researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners from Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East to discuss urgent climate challenges.
Keynote sessions highlighted clean energy transition, food security, coastal resilience, digital technologies for climate mitigation, and pathways toward low-carbon economies. Over 80 papers were presented in hybrid formats, covering renewable energy, circular economy, biodiversity conservation, and disaster-risk modelling.
Prof. Tim Marshall of RMIT opened the conference, emphasizing coordinated global action and the role of universities in evidence-based research and innovation. UNS Vice-Rector Prof. Fitria Rahmawati underscored the multidimensional impacts of climate change and the need for transdisciplinary solutions.
The conference also advanced UNS–RMIT collaboration through joint research initiatives and mobility programs. A field visit to CERES Community Environment Park showcased community-based climate adaptation. Proceedings will be published in the Scopus- and WOS-indexed E3S Web of Conferences.
